Job Summary
• Provide respiratory care in a high-acuity Level 1 trauma facility.
• Deliver critical care support in both MICU and SICU settings.
• Participate in Code Blue response and manage ventilator settings based on patient assessment and lab results.
Key Responsibilities
• Assess, monitor, and manage patients requiring respiratory support.
• Adjust ventilator settings based on patient condition and lab results.
• Participate in the Code Blue team, responding to emergency situations.
• Utilize lung protective ventilation strategies.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams in MICU and SICU.
• Provide respiratory care in a Level III NICU (preferred).
• Operate Drager XL and v500 ventilators (preferred).
Required Qualifications
• Minimum 5+ years of recent experience in a Level 1 trauma facility.
• Recent critical care experience in both MICU and SICU.
• Familiarity with lung protective ventilation techniques.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in Level III NICU.
• Experience with Drager XL and v500 ventilators.
Certifications
• RRT certification required.
• MA Respiratory Care license required.
• BLS certification required.
• NPS and/or ACCS certification preferred.
Schedule
• 12-hour AM shifts.
• 36 hours per week.
• Every other weekend and holiday required.
