  • Job Summary
    We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide specialized care to patients undergoing cancer treatment. The Oncology RN will manage and monitor patient care throughout chemotherapy, radiation, and other treatment modalities, ensuring patients receive safe, effective, and empathetic care in a supportive environment.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other prescribed cancer treatments safely and accurately.
    2. Monitor patients for side effects and adverse reactions, intervening promptly as necessary.
    3. Educate patients and families about diagnosis, treatment plans, medication management, and symptom control.
    4. Coordinate care with oncologists, pharmacists, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
    5. Document patient care activities thoroughly and maintain compliance with regulatory and institutional standards.
    6. Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their families throughout the treatment journey.
    7. Maintain a clean and safe treatment environment following infection control policies.

    Required Qualifications
    1. Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment.
    2. Minimum of 1 year oncology nursing experience preferred.
    3. Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
    4. Knowledge of chemotherapy administration and oncology-specific protocols.
    5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    6. Ability to manage complex and emotionally challenging situations.

    Preferred Qualifications
    1. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
    2. Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
    3. Familiarity with clinical trials and research protocols in oncology.

    Certifications
    1. Basic Life Support (BLS) – Required
    2. Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider Certification (CPON or OCN) – Preferred
