  • Job Summary
    We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Pharmacy Technician I – Filling Technician to support pharmacy operations under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. This role involves selecting, counting, packaging, and labeling medications for shipment to patients, along with performing inventory control and maintaining a clean work environment. The ideal candidate will have basic pharmacy knowledge, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Select, pick, package, and label medications and ancillary supplies in accordance with prescription requirements and pharmacy guidelines.
    2. Perform accurate medication counts using manual and automated methods.
    3. Follow appropriate sanitation and hazardous medication handling protocols.
    4. Execute duties of an Operations Assistant (packer) as needed.
    5. Restock the filling station with medications and supplies.
    6. Clean all pill counting devices, equipment, and work areas regularly.
    7. Assist with record keeping and maintain proper documentation as required.
    8. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
    9. Recognize and escalate issues beyond the technician’s scope of authority.

    Required Qualifications
    1. Verifiable High School Diploma or GED
    2. Active State Pharmacy Technician License (with no infractions or violations)
    3. Minimum of 3 months of experience as a pharmacy technician
    4. Basic understanding of medical terminology and pharmacy law
    5. Familiarity with drug names and pharmacology
    6. Ability to accurately enter data into computer systems
    7. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

    Preferred Qualifications
    1. 3+ months of experience in a pick/pack/ship environment
    2. 3+ months of experience using computer applications in a professional setting
    3. Previous experience in healthcare, social services, or a similar service-oriented environment

    Certifications
    1. State Pharmacy Technician License (Active and in good standing)
