  • Job Summary  
    The RN Emergency Department provides direct patient care in a fast-paced hospital setting, caring for individuals experiencing urgent and emergent medical conditions. This role requires strong clinical judgment, rapid decision-making, and the ability to deliver safe, effective care under pressure while collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Provide nursing care to patients presenting with emergency medical needs.
    2. Assess, monitor, and document patient condition and responses to interventions.
    3. Administer medications, IV infusions, and blood products as ordered.
    4. Assist physicians during examinations, procedures, and emergency interventions.
    5. Monitor physiological data and intervene promptly when required.
    6. Communicate patient care plans with patients and families.
    7. Educate patients and families on hospital procedures and discharge instructions.
    8. Delegate tasks to support staff and ensure efficient team coordination.
    9. Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

    Education
    1. Required: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
    2. Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

    Required Skills & Experience
    1. Must have at least 2 years of recent experience in the specialty within the past 2 years.
    2. Knowledge of nursing practices, procedures, and emergency patient care techniques.
    3. Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate nursing services in high-stress situations.
    4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    5. Ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations.
    6. Basic computer skills.

    Certifications & Licensure
    1. Active RN License (State Board of Nursing or Multistate Compact RN License).
    2. Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association.
    3. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
    4. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred.
