  • Job Summary
    The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room provides rapid, expert nursing care to patients presenting with a wide range of urgent and emergent health conditions. This role involves assessing, stabilizing, and treating patients in a fast-paced environment while collaborating closely with the multidisciplinary emergency team to ensure high-quality care.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Perform rapid and thorough patient assessments upon arrival.
    2. Provide emergency nursing care including medication administration, wound care, and life-saving interventions.
    3. Monitor and document patient vital signs and clinical status continuously.
    4. Collaborate with physicians, paramedics, and other healthcare professionals to stabilize and treat patients.
    5. Assist with emergency procedures such as intubation, IV insertion, and cardiac monitoring.
    6. Educate patients and families about treatment plans and discharge instructions.
    7. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
    8. Participate in code teams and emergency response protocols as needed.
    9. Adhere to infection control and safety standards.

    Required Qualifications
    1. Current RN license.
    2. Experience in emergency nursing preferred but not always required for entry-level roles.
    3. Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
    4. Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
    5. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

    Preferred Qualifications
    1. Certification in Emergency Nursing (CEN) is a plus.

    Certifications
    1. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required).
    2. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (required).
    3. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred.
