  • Job Summary:
    We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Interventional Radiology (IR) team. The RN will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures within the IR department. This includes pre-, intra-, and post-procedural care while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality.

    Key Responsibilities:
    1. Provide direct patient care before, during, and after interventional radiology procedures.
    2. Monitor patient status, vital signs, and comfort throughout procedures.
    3. Administer moderate sedation, contrast agents, and prescribed medications under protocol.
    4. Assist physicians and technologists during sterile procedures.
    5. Coordinate patient preparation including IV placement, lab work verification, consent form review, and patient education.
    6. Perform post-procedure recovery monitoring and discharge teaching.
    7. Document all patient care activities accurately in the EMR.
    8. Respond promptly to emergencies and perform CPR/ACLS as necessary.
    9. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment compliant with infection control standards.

    Required Qualifications:
    1. Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in [Insert State]
    2. Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
    3. Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in critical care, emergency, or procedural areas
    4. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
    5. Strong IV skills and experience with moderate sedation
    6. Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
    7. Excellent communication, organizational, and critical-thinking skills

    Preferred Qualifications:
    1. Prior experience in Interventional Radiology, Cardiac Cath Lab, or Operating Room
    2. BSN from an accredited institution
    3. Knowledge of sterile techniques and radiology safety standards

    Certifications:
    1. BLS – Basic Life Support (Required)
    2. ACLS – Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (Required)
    3. CRN – Certified Radiology Nurse (Preferred, not required)
