JOB SUMMARY
Provide skilled occupational therapy services to patients in an Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit, focusing on restoring function and improving quality of life.

Key Responsibilities
• Administer 1:1 therapy sessions to patients based on individualized treatment plans.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement comprehensive patient care strategies.
• Document patient progress, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely in the electronic medical record.
• Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises, adaptive equipment, and strategies to manage their condition.
• Maintain proficiency in using various therapy equipment.

Schedule / Shift
• 5 days/week, 8-hour shifts.
• Shift timing: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM.

Required Qualifications
• Possess strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and time management skills.
• Ability to incorporate weekends into a 5-day/week schedule is a plus.

Experience
• Minimum of 6 months of experience in an acute care, skilled nursing facility (SNF), or inpatient rehabilitation unit setting.

Skills
• Proficiency in providing direct patient therapy.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

EMR / Systems
• Meditech

Patient Population
• Adult and geriatric patients requiring rehabilitation services.

Unit / Specialty
• Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit (IP Rehab Unit)

Certifications
• Florida State Occupational Therapy License.

Floating / On-Call
• Primary assignment within the IP Rehab Unit.
