JOB SUMMARY
Provide direct patient care in a mental health setting. This role involves assessing patient needs, administering treatments, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to support recovery and wellness. The Behavioral Health RN plays a critical role in ensuring patient safety, delivering therapeutic interventions, and fostering a supportive environment for individuals experiencing behavioral health challenges.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide nursing care to patients with behavioral health conditions, including medication administration and monitoring.
• Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate treatment.
• Monitor patient progress and document clinical observations accurately.
• Respond to psychiatric emergencies and implement crisis intervention strategies.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and coping strategies.
• Promote a safe, therapeutic environment that supports patient recovery.
• Escalate concerns appropriately and manage difficult situations with professionalism.

Required Qualifications
• Current RN license.
• Strong phlebotomy and clinical nursing skills.
• Demonstrated ability to provide excellent patient care in behavioral health settings.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and schedules.

Preferred Qualifications
• Prior experience in psychiatric or behavioral health nursing.
• Familiarity with crisis intervention techniques.
• Experience working in inpatient or outpatient mental health facilities.

Certifications
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced certifications in psychiatric nursing (preferred).
