markdown JOB SUMMARY Provides direct and individualized nursing care to neonates in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), focusing on critically ill infants. Collaborates with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to implement and evaluate patient care plans.
Key Responsibilities - Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for critically ill neonates. - Monitor vital signs, neurological status, and other physiological parameters. - Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. - Provide respiratory support, including mechanical ventilation management. - Manage specialized equipment and technologies utilized in NICU care. - Educate and support families regarding infant care and condition. - Document patient care activities accurately and thoroughly. - Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals. - Respond to emergency situations and provide appropriate interventions. - Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and families.
Schedule / Shift - Variable shifts, including weekends. - 48 hours per week approved.
Required Qualifications - Registered Nurse (RN) license. - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. - Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
Experience - Previous experience in a NICU setting. - Experience caring for critically ill neonates.
Skills - Proficiency in advanced neonatal assessment and care. - Ability to manage ventilators and other critical care equipment. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment. - Neonatal critical care skills.

Patient Population - Neonates requiring intensive care.
Unit / Specialty - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) - Level II Pediatric Trauma Center
Floating / On-Call - May float between units. - On-call is not required.
