  • Job Summary
    We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Interventional Technologist - Vascular to assist physicians in performing minimally invasive vascular and interventional procedures. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing patients and equipment, maintaining procedural safety standards, operating specialized imaging equipment, and providing technical support throughout vascular procedures.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, supplies, and sterile fields for vascular and interventional procedures.
    2. Assist physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic vascular interventions.
    3. Operate fluoroscopy, angiography, and other imaging equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
    4. Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
    5. Maintain sterile technique and adhere to infection prevention protocols.
    6. Prepare and administer contrast media in accordance with departmental policies and applicable regulations.
    7. Assist with vascular access procedures and the use of specialized interventional devices.
    8. Document procedure details, patient information, and imaging data accurately.
    9. Ensure all equipment is functioning properly and report any operational issues.
    10. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
    11. Participate in quality assurance, safety initiatives, and continuing education activities.

    Required Qualifications
    1. Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology, Cardiovascular Technology, or a related healthcare field.
    2. Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in vascular, interventional radiology, or cardiovascular procedural settings preferred.
    3. Strong knowledge of vascular anatomy, physiology, and interventional procedures.
    4. Experience operating angiography and fluoroscopy equipment.
    5. Ability to maintain a sterile environment and follow established safety protocols.
    6. Excellent communication, organizational, and critical-thinking skills.
    7. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced procedural environment and respond to urgent situations.

    Preferred Qualifications
    1. Previous experience in an Interventional Radiology (IR), Cardiac Cath Lab, or Vascular Lab setting.
    2. Experience with advanced vascular imaging techniques and interventional equipment.
    3. Knowledge of electronic medical record (EMR) and imaging documentation systems.
    4. Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.

    Certifications
    1. ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required, if applicable.
    2. State Radiologic Technologist License required, as applicable.
    3. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
    4. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
    5. Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or other vascular/interventional certification preferred.
