Job Summary
• The CVOR Tech supports surgical services specific to cardiovascular operating room procedures.
• Responsible for preparing the operating room, instruments, and supplies for cardiovascular surgeries.
• Works closely with surgeons, nurses, and other OR staff to ensure efficient, safe, and sterile surgical environments.

Key Responsibilities
• Prepare and maintain operating room for cardiovascular procedures.
• Assist surgical team by passing instruments and supplies during procedures.
• Ensure proper handling and sterilization of surgical instruments.
• Maintain accurate count of sponges, needles, and instruments before and after procedures.
• Monitor and maintain sterility throughout surgical procedures.
• Assist in patient positioning, prepping, and draping as required.
• Ensure surgical supplies and equipment are available and functioning properly.
• Communicate with team members to anticipate and meet the needs of the surgical team.

Required Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a cardiovascular operating room setting.
• Knowledge of sterile techniques and operating room procedures.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Preferred Qualifications
• 2+ years of experience in CVOR or related specialty.
• Experience with minimally invasive cardiovascular procedures.

Certifications
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
