Job Description:

  • JOB SUMMARY
    The CT Tech is responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures using computed tomography (CT) equipment to provide a cross-sectional view of the body for diagnostic purposes.

    Key Responsibilities
    - Operates CT scanner to produce cross-sectional images of the body.
    - Positions patients accurately and safely for CT scans.
    - Administers contrast media as prescribed by a physician.
    - Reviews images to ensure technical quality and completeness.
    - Maintains patient records and documentation.
    - Adheres to radiation safety protocols and guidelines.
    - Monitors patient condition during procedures and responds to emergencies.
    - Performs quality control checks on CT equipment.

    Schedule / Shift
    - 14-week assignment
    - 2 shifts per week
    - 12-hour shifts
    - 07:00 - 19:30
    - Includes weekend rotations

    Required Qualifications
    - High School Diploma or equivalent.
    - Successful completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.

    Certifications
    - Registered Technologist in CT (RT(CT)) from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
    - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

    Experience
    - Previous CT Tech experience.

    Skills
    - Proficient in operating CT scanners and related equipment.
    - Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
    - Excellent patient care and communication skills.
    - Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    - Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.

    Unit / Specialty
    - CT Scan

    Floating / On-Call
    - May require floating to other related imaging departments as needed.
