  • Job Summary
    We are seeking a Senior Database Administrator with extensive experience in administering and modernizing cloud-first data platforms, primarily Azure and Snowflake, along with secondary support for on-premises SQL Server.
    The role focuses on centralized and automated deployments, secure operations including handling sensitive data, performance optimization, and continuous improvement through automation.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Administer and support cloud-first data platforms including Azure data services and Snowflake, along with on-premises SQL Server
    • Manage Azure services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database/Managed Instance, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure Database for PostgreSQL, and MongoDB
    • Centralize, standardize, and execute deployments for SQL Server components including SQL code, SQL Agent jobs, SSIS packages, SSAS models, and SSRS reports
    • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and release processes for databases, ETL/ELT pipelines, and analytics artifacts
    • Develop automation and administrative tooling using scripting languages such as PowerShell and Python
    • Monitor, tune, and optimize performance across databases and data warehouses ensuring capacity planning and cost efficiency
    • Implement and manage backup/restore, high availability, disaster recovery, replication, and data protection strategies
    • Operate and manage data ingestion and integration pipelines, including orchestration and data modeling for enterprise data warehouse systems
    • Manage access controls, security configurations, secrets, and auditing across data platforms
    • Ensure secure handling of sensitive data and collaborate with compliance stakeholders to meet regulatory requirements
    • Lead incident response, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and production support activities
    • Maintain operational documentation including runbooks and deployment guides
    • Drive continuous improvement through automation, standardization, and intelligent tooling

    Required Qualifications
    • 8–10+ years of experience administering enterprise data platforms with a focus on Azure data services and Snowflake, along with support for SQL Server
    • 5+ years of experience in building and managing CI/CD pipelines and standardized deployment processes for data platforms
    • Strong experience in performance tuning, monitoring, capacity planning, and incident management for mission-critical systems
    • Experience implementing security controls, access management, and auditing across data platforms
    • Proficiency in Azure SQL Database/Managed Instance, Snowflake, and on-premises SQL Server administration
    • Working knowledge of Azure Cosmos DB, Azure Database for PostgreSQL, and MongoDB
    • Experience with Azure Data Factory orchestration, monitoring, and troubleshooting
    • Strong understanding of data modeling, ELT processes, and data quality/lineage concepts
    • Experience deploying and managing analytics tools such as Tableau and Alteryx
    • Proficiency in scripting using PowerShell and Python for automation
    • Strong understanding of DevOps practices, source control, and release management

    Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience working in regulated environments requiring secure data handling
    • Familiarity with modern data warehouse architectures and cloud-based data ecosystems
    • Experience with AI-assisted tooling for automation and operational efficiency
