Job Summary
The Consumer Insights Analyst will provide high-quality performance analysis of sales strategies, including promotional offers and new item launches, while supporting adoption and effective use of the C-Shopper Customer Insights platform. This role will work with assigned user groups to deliver actionable insights, customer-centric recommendations, training, and ongoing support that improve decision-making, customer retention, trips, and basket upsell opportunities. This is a 9-month contract position with the possibility of extension based on performance and can be performed remotely.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide C-Shopper product support and drive adoption best practices across assigned user groups.
• Support the use of C-Shopper Customer Insight Reports, Assortment, Price/Promo tools, and other platform modules.
• Provide guidance and case studies demonstrating high-value insights to assigned user groups.
• Partner with user groups to act as the voice of the customer and support customer-centric sales and marketing strategies.
• Coach assigned user teams on effective use of customer insights and analytics tools.
• Deliver customer success activities including onboarding, training, and ongoing support.
• Deliver ad hoc analytics and presentations to support complex user needs and selected supplier commercial projects.
• Help define metrics for measuring program impact, customer satisfaction, product usage, user-group growth, and productivity.
• Conduct user-group evaluations and gather feedback to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Review market and customer trends to improve user experience, operational excellence, skills, and innovative approaches.
• Work closely with internal Merchant teams and external vendors.
• Participate in regular meetings with end users and internal teams.
• Provide high-quality analysis with actionable insights and recommendations based on business requirements.
Required Qualifications
• 2–3 years of retail industry experience.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze business and customer data.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Ability to translate analytical findings into actionable insights and recommendations.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with business users, internal teams, and external vendors.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working with syndicated data.
• Experience with Circana (IRI), Nielsen, Kantar, or similar syndicated data providers.
• Experience supporting customer insights, consumer analytics, retail analytics, or related initiatives.
