Job Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer – Agentic AI Engineering to design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications and services while leveraging modern AI-assisted development practices. The role combines strong software engineering expertise with hands-on experience using AI-powered development tools and agentic workflows to improve engineering productivity, automation, testing, and software delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications and services using modern software engineering practices.
• Build and support cloud-native microservices and distributed systems capable of handling high-volume transactions.
• Develop event-driven architectures utilizing Kafka and related messaging technologies.
• Partner with architects, product teams, and engineering leaders to drive modernization initiatives and platform evolution.
• Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to improve development efficiency and release quality.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding, testing, debugging, documentation, and engineering workflows.
• Build and implement agentic solutions that improve developer productivity and automate engineering processes.
• Promote engineering best practices around AI-assisted software development, code quality, testing, and system reliability.
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical mentoring activities.

Required Qualifications:
• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience developing enterprise-scale applications.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot or .NET and .NET Core.
• Experience building and supporting microservices architectures, RESTful APIs and web services, event-driven systems, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Kafka or similar messaging platforms.
• Cloud engineering experience with GCP preferred; AWS or Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) acceptable.
• Experience with one or more of the following data platforms: PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Aerospike.
• Working knowledge of Python for automation, tooling, or AI agent development.
• Experience delivering software within Agile development environments.
• Hands-on experience using AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or similar coding assistants in day-to-day software engineering activities.
• Demonstrated experience applying AI-assisted development techniques across code generation, refactoring, unit testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and automation.
• Experience building, configuring, or utilizing AI agents to improve engineering productivity or streamline software delivery workflows.
• Understanding of agentic workflows, spec-driven development, prompt engineering, custom instructions, and AI-assisted SDLC best practices.
• Ability to translate technical requirements, design specifications, API contracts, and data models into structured specifications for AI-assisted implementation.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience leading software modernization and cloud transformation initiatives.
• Experience within financial services or other highly regulated industries.
• Strong understanding of Test-Driven Development (TDD) and automated testing practices.
• Experience developing technical design documents, architecture artifacts, and implementation specifications.
• Experience with Atlassian products including Jira and Confluence.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to influence engineering teams and technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
