  • Job Summary
    We are seeking a Full Stack Engineer to lead the end-to-end technical delivery of modernization initiatives across data ingestion, calculation, reporting, and API layers. This role combines technical leadership with hands-on development, focusing on designing scalable microservices, RESTful APIs, and Angular-based user interfaces while driving engineering best practices, system modernization, and collaboration across cross-functional teams.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Lead the end-to-end technical delivery of modernization workstreams, including ingestion, calculation, reporting, and API layers.
    • Drive architecture decisions for service decomposition, data access patterns, and API contracts.
    • Design and develop RESTful services and Angular-based user interfaces for operations, business users, and downstream consumers.
    • Establish engineering standards for code quality, testing strategies, CI/CD, and application observability.
    • Develop Java-based microservices for calculation engines, business logic, and data access services.
    • Build and maintain scalable RESTful APIs supporting analytics, reporting, and backward compatibility requirements.
    • Develop and enhance Angular front-end components for self-service capabilities, dynamic views, and configuration management.
    • Design solutions that support high-performance batch and near real-time processing of large financial datasets.
    • Collaborate with Product Owners and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
    • Partner with cross-functional teams to define data contracts, shared libraries, and integration patterns.
    • Participate in architecture reviews, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and program increment planning.
    • Communicate technical designs, risks, and trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Mentor engineers through code reviews, design discussions, and knowledge sharing.
    • Promote test-driven development, automated testing, and production-ready engineering practices.
    • Identify, prioritize, and reduce technical debt through continuous improvement initiatives.

    Required Qualifications
    • 10+ years of hands-on Java development experience.
    • Strong expertise with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, or similar Java frameworks.
    • Deep understanding of Java concurrency, memory management, and JVM performance tuning.
    • Proven experience designing, developing, and versioning RESTful APIs using API-first principles, OpenAPI/Swagger, contract testing, pagination, and standardized error handling.
    • 3+ years of experience developing applications with Angular (version 12 or later), including component architecture, RxJS, state management, and responsive UI design.
    • Experience developing operational tools with a strong focus on usability.
    • Experience with batch processing frameworks such as Spring Batch or custom scheduling solutions.
    • Strong SQL skills and experience working with large relational databases.
    • Experience developing scalable applications for large financial datasets.
    • Practical experience with AWS services, including EC2, S3, ECS/EKS, RDS, and Lambda.
    • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code concepts using Terraform or CloudFormation.
    • Experience with Git, Jenkins or GitHub Actions, Docker, and deployment automation.
    • Experience implementing application monitoring and observability using tools such as CloudWatch, Splunk, or Grafana.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to technical and business stakeholders.
    • Strong collaboration skills with experience working effectively in cross-functional Agile teams.

    Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience working with time-series or financial data.
    • Experience designing and developing enterprise-scale distributed systems.
    • Experience mentoring engineers and leading technical discussions.
    • Strong commitment to software quality, continuous improvement, and engineering best practices.
