Job Summary
The System/Software Technician will support the bring-up, calibration, testing, and logging of advanced technologies at a closed course test track in Oakland. Reporting to the Team Lead, this role is a core member of the End of Line Team and requires strong technical skills, problem-solving ability, and comfort working outdoors. occasional overtime and potential shift rotation (with two weeks’ notice). Candidates must be comfortable riding an electric bike.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute and document tests to verify autonomous technologies, including behavior, product capabilities, and requirements
- Collaborate with stakeholders across hardware, product, and software teams to improve products
- Follow testing programs and checklists to ensure safety, efficiency, and reliability
- Communicate with cross-functional teams to assess robot behavior and triage issues
- Support field operations for deployment of products
- Utilize ticketing tools to collect feedback, schedule fixes, and track progress
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of experience or strong interest in system/software testing or related fields
- Familiarity with automotive systems and/or computer systems
- Strong problem-solving, diagnostic, and communication skills
- Comfortable working outdoors and riding an electric bike
- Strong organizational and process skills; ability to follow detailed test plans
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with field operations, especially related to autonomous vehicles
- Familiarity with ticketing tools for issue tracking and resolution
