  • Job Summary
    We are seeking a DBA Engineer with strong expertise in SQL Server to support mission-critical applications by managing, optimizing, and maintaining enterprise database environments. This role focuses on performance tuning, proactive monitoring, and ensuring reliable and high-performing data services. The ideal candidate will have experience working with large-scale database systems and collaborating with development teams to resolve performance challenges.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Administer, maintain, and support enterprise Microsoft SQL Server databases
    • Monitor database performance and analyze slow queries to implement tuning strategies
    • Optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and data access patterns in collaboration with application teams
    • Perform routine database maintenance including backups, restores, integrity checks, and patching
    • Support high availability and disaster recovery solutions such as AlwaysOn Availability Groups, clustering, and replication
    • Automate database maintenance and operational tasks where applicable
    • Diagnose and resolve database-related performance issues impacting applications
    • Participate in on-call rotations to support production releases and critical incidents

    Required Qualifications
    • 8+ years of experience in professional services or related roles
    • 5+ years of experience working with databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL
    • 5+ years of experience with SQL and data modeling tools
    • 5+ years of experience in stored procedures, query optimization, indexing strategies, and performance tuning

    Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience with high availability and disaster recovery technologies such as SQL Server AlwaysOn or clustering
    • Knowledge of cloud-based or containerized database environments (e.g., Azure SQL, SQL Server in containers)
    • Familiarity with CI/CD processes for database deployments
    • Understanding of ETL processes and tools such as SSIS or Azure Data Factory
    • Relevant certifications such as SQL Server or Azure database certifications
