  • Job Summary
    The Software Engineer in Test will be responsible for developing and executing automated testing solutions across multiple technology stacks, with a primary focus on Java-based applications and database testing. This role involves active participation throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including design, development, testing, deployment, and DevSecOps integration.
    The ideal candidate will be passionate about modern testing frameworks, automation technologies, and continuous improvement while collaborating effectively across Agile engineering teams.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and testing frameworks.
    • Perform end-to-end Software Development Lifecycle activities including design, development, testing, and deployment support.
    • Test RESTful web services using modern API testing tools and frameworks.
    • Develop and execute database validation and SQL-based testing processes.
    • Collaborate with development, QA, and DevOps teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.
    • Support DevSecOps initiatives and CI/CD pipeline integration.
    • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve defects and performance issues.
    • Evaluate and recommend new testing tools, frameworks, and technologies.
    • Contribute to test strategy development and automation best practices.
    • Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, and cross-functional collaboration efforts.

    Required Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
    • 10+ years of experience in software development and testing.
    • Experience testing RESTful web services using tools such as RestAssured, Bruno, or similar technologies.
    • Strong hands-on experience using SQL for testing and data validation.
    • Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages such as Java or Python.
    • Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipeline tools such as Jenkins, uDeploy, or similar technologies.
    • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Experience working within Agile development environments.

    Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience developing RESTful web services in Java.
    • Certifications in AWS or other cloud platforms.
    • Experience with DevSecOps practices and cloud-native testing environments.
    • Strong interest in emerging technologies, automation frameworks, and continuous learning.
