  • JOB SUMMARY

    We are seeking a Senior Java Developer to design, develop, and support highly available, scalable, and cloud-native applications. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Java 17+, Spring Boot, Microservices, AWS services, and modern DevOps practices. This role will be responsible for building enterprise-grade backend solutions, implementing CI/CD pipelines, developing RESTful APIs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, high-performing applications in a cloud-first environment.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Design, develop, and maintain highly available and scalable Java-based applications.
    • Build and support cloud-native backend services using Java 17+, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.
    • Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and service integrations.
    • Implement modern software design patterns and engineering best practices.
    • Develop and maintain microservices-based applications to support enterprise business requirements.
    • Build and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate application build, testing, deployment, and release processes.
    • Develop and execute unit tests, integration tests, and automated quality validations to ensure code quality and coverage.
    • Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, DevOps teams, and developers throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
    • Participate in technical design discussions, architecture reviews, and solution planning activities.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve application, integration, and production support issues.
    • Optimize application performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
    • Manage source code repositories and branching strategies using GitHub.
    • Utilize Artifactory or similar repository management solutions for artifact lifecycle management.
    • Develop and support solutions leveraging AWS-native services and cloud infrastructure.
    • Implement serverless and event-driven solutions using AWS Lambda.
    • Support big data and analytics workloads using AWS EMR.
    • Contribute to Agile development activities including sprint planning, estimation, and code reviews.
    • Create and maintain technical documentation, deployment guides, and operational procedures.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
    • Strong experience in Java development with Java 17 or higher.
    • Extensive experience with Spring Boot and Microservices architecture.
    • Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and backend services.
    • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and software design patterns.
    • Experience developing scalable and highly available enterprise applications.
    • Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and automated software delivery processes.
    • Hands-on experience with Jenkins or similar CI/CD tools.
    • Experience with GitHub and modern version control practices.
    • Experience using Artifactory or similar artifact repository management tools.
    • Strong knowledge of AWS cloud services and cloud-native application development.
    • Experience with AWS Lambda.
    • Experience with AWS EMR.
    • Knowledge of software testing methodologies, unit testing, and integration testing.
    • Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
    • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
    • Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging platforms.
    • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK).
    • Experience with AWS ECS, EKS, S3, CloudWatch, and API Gateway.
    • Knowledge of performance tuning, monitoring, and observability tools.
    • Experience working in large-scale enterprise cloud environments.
    • Familiarity with DevOps, SRE, and cloud security best practices.

    CERTIFICATIONS

    • AWS Certified Developer – Associate preferred.
    • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate preferred.
    • Oracle Certified Professional Java Developer preferred.
    • Spring Professional Certification preferred.
    • Relevant AWS, Java, DevOps, or Cloud certifications are a plus.
