  • Job Summary
    The Network Operations Center (NOC) Technician provides 24x7x365 continuous monitoring and support of Client business and network computer systems, infrastructure services, customer service support, data center operations, enterprise scheduling, and after-hours service desk calls. This role acts as the central hub during system maintenance and outages, ensuring timely escalation and resolution of issues to minimize downtime. Employees are considered essential personnel and must respond to responsibilities regardless of weather or disaster conditions.

    Key Responsibilities
    1. Monitor and support systems including hardware, software, CPU, file systems, and network infrastructure (firewalls)
    2. Restart and monitor backups and batch processing systems
    3. Support SAP applications including SAP-CIS, SAP-FIS, SAP-HR, SAP-WMS, and SAP-AMI
    4. Monitor telecom infrastructure and escalate issues as needed
    5. Answer vendor and support calls and escalate to appropriate support teams
    6. Provide after-hours support for the EIT support line (2020)
    7. Monitor data center environments at Main Office, EMC, and TLC
    8. Document and escalate issues to support teams and coordinate critical alerts
    9. Support scheduled outages and coordinate with production control teams
    10. Compile and distribute reports including daily Morning Reports and weekly summaries
    11. Maintain updated procedures and call duty rosters for support teams
    12. Ensure 24x7x365 coverage across enterprise systems

    Working Environment
    1. Industry office standard with periods of high stress
    2. Ability to remain at desk for long periods to process service requests and monitor systems
    3. At times staffed with only one technician for a 12-hour shift
    4. Requires flexibility for after-hours work, call duty, and travel for training or business events

    Physical Demands
    1. Manual dexterity, sitting, standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling
    2. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds

    Required Qualifications
    1. Strong technical knowledge of computer systems and network infrastructure
    2. Experience with SAP applications and batch processing support
    3. Ability to use complex test instruments and monitoring tools
    4. Strong communication and customer service skills for end-user support
    5. Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
