  • Job Summary:
    The Junior SQL Developer is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing SQL Server database solutions while supporting application development and data integration initiatives. This role involves writing SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects, assisting development teams with database-related support, and contributing to performance optimization and scalable application solutions. The position also provides exposure to .NET/C# technologies and cloud-based database environments.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Develop and maintain SQL scripts, stored procedures, views, functions, and database objects
    • Write and optimize SQL queries for performance, scalability, and efficiency
    • Support application development teams with database-related development and troubleshooting
    • Participate in database design, development, and maintenance activities
    • Perform database performance tuning and query optimization
    • Assist with data integration and backend application support tasks
    • Support ETL processes and reporting solutions when required
    • Collaborate with cross-functional development and technical teams
    • Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues and defects
    • Participate in SDLC activities including development, testing, debugging, and deployment
    • Maintain technical documentation related to database development and processes
    • Follow coding standards, best practices, and Agile development methodologies

    Required Skills:
    • 2–5 years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server
    • Strong understanding of SQL queries, joins, stored procedures, views, and functions
    • Experience with database design, development, and performance tuning
    • Basic to intermediate experience with .NET and C#
    • Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
    • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

    Preferred Skills:
    • Experience with SSIS, SSRS, or ETL processes
    • Knowledge of API integrations and backend application support
    • Exposure to Azure or cloud-based database environments
    • Experience supporting enterprise applications and data workflows
    • Understanding of database security and optimization best practices

    Education:
    Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field preferred
