  • Job Summary
    We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Java Developer with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in full-stack application development. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills, along with the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively. This is a hybrid contract position based in Okemos, Michigan, requiring onsite presence at least 3 days per week, increasing to 4 days per week beginning July 6, 2026.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable full-stack applications using Java and modern web technologies.
    • Build and enhance enterprise applications using Core Java/J2EE and the Spring Framework.
    • Develop responsive front-end solutions using Angular, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
    • Create and maintain RESTful services and APIs using Jersey.
    • Work with Oracle databases, including SQL and PL/SQL development and optimization.
    • Analyze application performance, conduct JVM profiling, and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
    • Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Ensure applications meet performance, scalability, and reliability requirements.

    Required Qualifications
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in full-stack Java development.
    • Strong experience with Core Java/J2EE.
    • Deep understanding of JVM architecture, performance tuning, and profiling.
    • Hands-on experience with Spring Framework.
    • Proficiency in Angular, TypeScript, and Node.js.
    • Strong knowledge of HTML and CSS.
    • Experience developing RESTful services using Jersey.
    • Strong SQL and PL/SQL development experience.
    • Experience working with Oracle Database.
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

    Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience with Unix and Shell Scripting.
    • Experience working with Docker.
    • Knowledge of Memcache and Redis.
    • Experience with SAML-based authentication and authorization solutions.
