  • Job Summary
    We are seeking a Senior OCI Engineer with strong expertise in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and hands-on experience with AWS. The ideal candidate will have approximately 80% OCI experience, although candidates with a 50% OCI and 50% AWS background will also be considered. The role will focus on OCI architecture, networking, disaster recovery, security, identity management, platform engineering, monitoring, reliability, and cloud automation across complex enterprise environments. The engineer will support business-critical cloud platforms, drive standardization and governance, and contribute to modernization and operational efficiency initiatives.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Design, implement, and support OCI network and security architecture for complex enterprise environments, including Hub-and-Spoke architectures and disaster recovery regions.
    • Configure, maintain, and optimize OCI Virtual Cloud Networks (VCNs), subnets, route tables, security lists, network security groups, firewalls, load balancers, and CIDR strategies.
    • Research, establish, and troubleshoot connectivity across OCI services including OIC, OAC, Autonomous Database (ADB), and integrations with Oracle Fusion ERP, EPM, AWS, and other enterprise systems.
    • Contribute to the design and implementation of OCI Disaster Recovery (DR) and secondary-region environments to meet business continuity, resiliency, and security requirements.
    • Provision and manage OCI resources including Compute, Networking, Object Storage, Load Balancers, Autonomous Databases, OIC, Compartments, and tenancy structures.
    • Establish standardized configurations, validation processes, governance controls, and naming conventions across OCI environments.
    • Implement and manage OCI security controls including IAM policies, IAM domains, security lists, ingress/egress controls, and network segmentation.
    • Apply cloud security best practices covering vulnerability remediation, customer key management, application firewalls, and secure access management.
    • Design, implement, and maintain cloud guardrails, compliance controls, and automated governance frameworks.
    • Manage identity and access requirements using OCI IAM, Identity Domains, IDCS, and Okta integrations.
    • Support credential rotations, certificate management, wallet rotations, and other security lifecycle activities.
    • Ensure least-privilege access principles are consistently applied across cloud environments.
    • Support business-critical OCI production environments with a focus on reliability, security, availability, and operational excellence.
    • Monitor OCI services, infrastructure health, performance thresholds, and security alerts.
    • Implement proactive monitoring, custom health checks, automated alerting, and failure detection capabilities.
    • Develop operational runbooks, troubleshooting procedures, and support documentation.
    • Partner with application and infrastructure teams to improve platform stability and service resiliency.
    • Support modernization initiatives, including migration of CI/CD workloads and jobs from Oracle Visual Builder Studio (VBS) to Enterprise GitHub and AWS-based solutions.
    • Design and implement workflow automation using AWS Step Functions, SNS, Lambda, and related services.
    • Drive continuous improvement through automation, standardization, governance, and operational efficiencies.

    Required Qualifications
    • Strong hands-on experience with OCI architecture, networking, security, and disaster recovery.
    • Experience designing and supporting complex OCI enterprise environments using Hub-and-Spoke network architectures and DR regions.
    • Strong experience configuring and optimizing VCNs, subnets, route tables, security lists, network security groups, firewalls, load balancers, and CIDR strategies.
    • Experience with OCI services including Compute, Networking, Object Storage, Load Balancers, Autonomous Database, OIC, OAC, Compartments, and tenancy structures.
    • Experience integrating OCI environments with Oracle Fusion ERP, EPM, AWS, and other enterprise platforms.
    • Strong knowledge of OCI IAM, IAM domains, Identity Domains, IDCS, and Okta integrations.
    • Experience implementing cloud security controls, network segmentation, ingress/egress controls, vulnerability remediation, customer key management, application firewalls, and secure access management.
    • Experience with credential rotation, certificate management, wallet rotation, and security lifecycle activities.
    • Strong understanding of least-privilege access and cloud governance principles.
    • Experience supporting production cloud environments with a focus on availability, reliability, security, and operational excellence.
    • Experience implementing monitoring, health checks, automated alerting, and failure detection capabilities.
    • Strong AWS experience, particularly with Step Functions, SNS, Lambda, and related cloud services.
    • Experience with cloud automation, standardization, CI/CD modernization, and infrastructure operational improvements.

    Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience with Oracle Visual Builder Studio (VBS) and modernization of CI/CD workloads to Enterprise GitHub and AWS-based solutions.
    • Experience developing automated governance and compliance frameworks.
    • Experience supporting large-scale enterprise cloud environments and cross-functional infrastructure teams.
