  • JOB SUMMARY

    We are seeking a Business Data Analyst to support enterprise applications, reporting initiatives, process improvement efforts, and digital transformation projects within the Enterprise Systems organization. The ideal candidate will have experience in business analysis, systems analysis, or data analysis and demonstrate strong requirements gathering, stakeholder management, documentation, and communication skills. This role will collaborate with business users, vendors, and technical teams to support reporting, workflow automation, application enhancements, and AI-driven initiatives.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and system requirements.
    • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand operational needs and translate them into actionable solutions.
    • Support enterprise applications and business systems within the Enterprise Systems organization.
    • Assist with reporting, dashboard development, and data analysis initiatives.
    • Document business processes, workflows, and system requirements.
    • Participate in automation and process improvement projects to enhance operational efficiency.
    • Support AI and digital transformation initiatives across the organization.
    • Coordinate activities between business stakeholders, vendors, project teams, and technical resources.
    • Assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test planning, execution, defect tracking, and validation.
    • Create and maintain project documentation, process flows, user guides, and training materials.
    • Track project action items, risks, issues, dependencies, and deliverables.
    • Analyze data and prepare reports to support business decision-making.
    • Facilitate meetings, workshops, and requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders.
    • Support change management, system enhancements, and implementation activities.
    • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of project and business documentation.
    • Provide status updates and communicate project progress to stakeholders and leadership teams.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field.
    • 3 to 6 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, IT Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role.
    • Experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting business and system requirements.
    • Strong business analysis and process documentation skills.
    • Experience working directly with business stakeholders and technical teams.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Excel.
    • Experience creating business requirements documents, process flows, and project documentation.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
    • Ability to quickly learn new systems, applications, and business processes.
    • Experience supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.
    • Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Experience supporting enterprise applications and business systems.
    • Experience with reporting, dashboards, and business intelligence initiatives.
    • Knowledge of workflow automation and process improvement methodologies.
    • Experience participating in digital transformation projects.
    • Exposure to AI-related business initiatives and emerging technologies.
    • Experience coordinating with third-party vendors and cross-functional teams.
    • Familiarity with project management principles and methodologies.
    • Experience creating training materials and end-user documentation.
    • Previous experience working within large enterprise environments.
    • Local to the Chicagoland area and available to work onsite one day per week.

    CERTIFICATIONS

    • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) preferred.
    • Certification of Capability in Business Analysis (CCBA) preferred.
    • PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA) preferred.
    • Relevant Data Analytics or Business Analysis certifications are a plus.
