  • Job Summary
    The Full Stack Python Developer will be responsible for developing, enhancing, modifying, and maintaining applications supporting the Independent Price Verification process for Global Markets. The role requires strong Python and object-oriented software engineering expertise, Angular-based UI development, REST services, SQL, and experience working with high-volume data and grid computing. The developer will participate throughout the full software development lifecycle and work within an Agile environment while collaborating with senior stakeholders and technical teams.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Develop object-oriented software using Python, object-oriented databases, and grid computing within the Quartz platform.
    • Develop data transfer tools to replicate data from NoSQL data stores to Oracle Exadata databases.
    • Build and maintain REST web services.
    • Design and develop interfaces between user interfaces and REST services.
    • Build data-grid-centric user interfaces using Angular 15+.
    • Participate fully in the software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, and maintenance.
    • Participate in Agile software development practices, including pair programming and daily stand-ups.
    • Design and tune SQL database tables and queries for high-volume data environments.
    • Contribute to test-driven development, functional testing, and continuous integration practices.
    • Collaborate with senior stakeholders and technical teams on application enhancements and delivery.
    • Troubleshoot technical issues and contribute to continuous improvement of application performance and reliability.

    Required Qualifications
    • 7+ years of software engineering experience.
    • 6–10 years of overall technology experience with 6–10 years of experience designing and developing in an object-oriented environment.
    • Strong primary expertise in Python software engineering, with 3–5 years of Python development experience.
    • Strong experience with object-oriented programming and software development principles.
    • 6–10 years of experience designing and tuning SQL database tables and queries.
    • Hands-on experience with Angular 15+.
    • Experience developing REST APIs and web services.
    • Experience with SQL and database technologies.
    • Experience with high-volume data and grid computing.
    • Experience working with Git and npm.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Experience and willingness to work in an Agile development environment.
    • Demonstrable knowledge of the business or technical domain in which the candidate has worked.
    • Passion for learning and adopting new technologies.

    Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience with Bank of America Quartz.
    • Experience across multiple programming languages and technologies, particularly C++, Java, and Python.
    • Experience with object-oriented databases and NoSQL data stores.
    • Experience with Oracle Exadata.
    • Experience with test-driven development, functional testing, and continuous integration.
    • Relevant banking, middle-office, back-office, or finance industry experience.
