  • Job Summary:
    Client is seeking a skilled Data Modeler to join our team in Boston, MA. This hybrid role (requiring 3 days onsite) involves designing and implementing data models (conceptual, logical, and physical) and delivering robust data strategies across multiple platforms including AWS Redshift, RDBMS, NoSQL, and data lakes. The candidate will play a critical role in data architecture governance, performance optimization, and enterprise modeling standards.

    Job Responsibilities:
    • Design and develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models for enterprise applications
    • Implement RDBMS, AWS Redshift Data Warehouse, ODS, data marts, and data lakes
    • Optimize data query performance using modeling best practices
    • Define and enforce data modeling and design standards, tools, and practices
    • Work with business analysts and application teams to gather requirements and model data accordingly
    • Develop data flows and implement strategies across relational, dimensional, and NoSQL platforms
    • Guide and assist technical teams in understanding and using enterprise data models
    • Support security, analytics, and machine learning initiatives through effective data design
    • Conduct performance tuning, configuration, installation, and sandbox proof of concepts

    Required Skills:
    • 4+ years of experience in data modeling (conceptual, logical, and physical models)
    • Strong hands-on experience with RDBMS, AWS Redshift, and NoSQL databases
    • Proficient in implementing data warehouse solutions including ODS and data marts
    • Strong knowledge of data architecture and interfaces to data sources and tools
    • Skilled in defining standards, naming conventions, and integrity rules for models
    • Experience in performance tuning and POC environments
    • Ability to work independently and manage stakeholder communications
    • 1+ year of Life and Annuity Insurance domain experience
    Preferred Skills:
    • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
    • Ability to reduce project delivery risks through proactive planning
    • Experience supporting BI, reporting, analytics, and data visualization tools
    • Willingness to assist BAs and developers in understanding and utilizing data models effectively
