Job Description
The candidate must have deep knowledge of controls, features and operations for top Cloud providers with the main focus on Public Cloud – AWS or GCP. Candidate must have relevant experience developing operational information protection controls in Cloud. The candidate should be intellectually curious about technology and have a strong desire to find and mitigate risks.
Deep experience in building, configuring, operating and/or securing cloud infrastructure and applications with cloud service provider native capabilities or 3rd party tools.
Minimum of two years’ experience in network, system, or software architecture design, implementation, support, and evaluation of security-focused tools and services
Experience reviewing applications, infrastructure, and architectural designs
Experience in evaluating, recommending, and implementing new and emerging security products and technologies as well as have the important skill to articulate technical limitations and requirements to business and technology partners
Experience developing software using languages such as Java, Python, Go or Ruby.
Experience in working in an Agile environment
Experience with AWS or GCP application or security development
Experience working with and/or deploying a Container Orchestration tool
GKE – Google Kubernetes Engineering
Openshift
Experience with cloud infrastructure provisioning tools such as Terraform, Cloud Formation, or Google Deployment Manager
Knowledge of web services, API, REST and RPC.
Experience with software development and system engineering.
Familiarity within a CI/CD and automated testing development model
Familiarity with common software release strategies (blue-green, canary, etc.)
Experience debugging technical issues inside a complex stack involving cloud services, containers, microservices, etc.
Experience implementing effective security strategies on cloud networks
Interest in Cloud Engineering and its impact on greater business practices.
Self-motivated individual with ability to leverage technical skills and correlate data to streamline analysis quickly and effectively
Additional Skills & Qualifications
This role with be 40% building cloud environments within AWS services, and about 60% development. No on-call support rotation.
