JOB SUMMARY The Systems Analyst will play a key role in bridging business and technology, driving analysis, solution design, and delivery for complex, data-intensive systems supporting the Defined Benefit (DB) platform. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders to translate complex requirements into well-defined, scalable solutions and improving system quality, data integrity, and overall platform performance.
Key Responsibilities • Collaborate with DB business stakeholders to analyze requirements and translate them into actionable user stories and backlog items. • Perform complex data analysis and data mining across recordkeeping systems to support business insights and issue resolution. • Collaborate with technical leads and architects to design, document, and maintain system flows, data models, and integration patterns. • Support the design and documentation of API contracts and enterprise integrations, aligned with enterprise standards. • Develop a strong understanding of end-to-end DB platform architecture to perform impact analysis across interconnected systems. • Support production issue triage, root cause analysis, and timely resolution. • Contribute to team ceremonies, iterative planning, and continuous improvement efforts to enhance delivery quality and efficiency.
Required Qualifications • BS or above with exceptional skills for business system design and solutions. • 4-6 years of experience in systems analyst, application lifecycle management, and production support. • Experience working with financial systems, recordkeeping platforms, or retirement/benefits administration. • Ability to distill business processes and objectives into well-defined epics/stories/requirements. • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex business rules and translate them into technical solutions. • Ability to work through ambiguous situations by making timely decisions based on facts, knowledge, experience, and judgment. • Extensive data analysis skills combined with excellent knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL). • Highly effective written and verbal communication. • Proven ability to work in a highly coordinated, iterative delivery environment, refining requirements in partnership with stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications • Defined Benefit domain knowledge, including pension calculations, eligibility, and compliance. • Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure. • Experience with data governance, reconciliation, and audit processes. • Working proficiency of object-oriented programming concepts, specifically Java. • Working knowledge of REST, SOAP, JSON, and APIs.
