  • Job Summary
    We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer (SDET) with strong expertise in Java development and test automation to design, develop, and maintain enterprise automation frameworks. The ideal candidate will have experience building scalable test automation solutions, validating UI and API functionality, integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines, and collaborating with Agile development teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks using Selenium, Cucumber, Java, and TypeScript.
    • Develop and execute end-to-end (E2E), functional, integration, and regression test automation.
    • Create and maintain automated test scripts for UI and API validation.
    • Integrate automated testing frameworks into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins and Maven.
    • Perform backend validation and database testing using SQL with DB2 and PostgreSQL.
    • Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, product owners, and cross-functional teams throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
    • Validate software against business requirements, acceptance criteria, and quality standards.
    • Develop unit, integration, and automated tests to improve application quality and code coverage.
    • Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of testing strategies and engineering practices.
    • Create and maintain technical documentation for automation frameworks, test cases, and testing processes.
    • Troubleshoot defects and support root cause analysis for quality issues.
    • Contribute to Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.

    Required Qualifications
    • 5+ years of professional experience in Software Quality Engineering or Software Development.
    • 4+ years of hands-on Java software development experience.
    • Strong proficiency with Java 8 or later and the Java Standard Library.
    • Strong experience developing automated testing frameworks using Java.
    • Hands-on experience with Selenium and Cucumber.
    • Strong experience writing unit and integration tests using JUnit, Mockito, Spring Boot Test, MockMvc, and SonarQube.
    • Experience developing and executing UI, API, end-to-end (E2E), functional, and integration test automation.
    • Experience integrating automation suites into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Maven.
    • Experience working with relational databases and SQL, including DB2 and PostgreSQL.
    • Experience with version control systems such as GitHub or GitLab.
    • Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum software development methodologies.
    • Ability to write clear technical documentation.
    • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.

    Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience with AI-assisted automated testing solutions.
    • Knowledge of Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) frameworks.
    • Experience improving automation strategies and software quality within enterprise environments.
    • Experience working in fast-paced Agile development environments with evolving business requirements.
