  • Job Summary
    We are seeking a Lead Data Engineer to design, build, and operationalize scalable data pipelines that support enterprise data and analytics initiatives. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, focusing on data integration, quality, and governance. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior engineers, and drive the adoption of best practices in data engineering and analytics.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Architect, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for enterprise data platforms
    • Lead the development and optimization of data integration and data management solutions
    • Collaborate with data science, analytics, and business teams to refine data requirements
    • Ensure data quality through validation, cleansing, and adherence to business rules
    • Support the operationalization of data pipelines into production environments
    • Partner with data governance teams to promote reusable, curated data assets
    • Drive automation in data integration and pipeline processes
    • Communicate complex technical concepts and results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
    • Provide leadership, mentoring, and coaching to team members
    • Work with stakeholders to ensure alignment with business needs and priorities
    • Monitor emerging technologies and assess their impact on data architecture
    • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and Agile delivery practices

    Required Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field
    • 7+ years of experience in data engineering or data management disciplines
    • Strong experience with data integration, data modeling, and data quality frameworks
    • Proficiency in database programming and advanced analytics techniques
    • Strong experience building and managing data pipelines
    • Experience with ETL processes and tools
    • Proficiency in Python and big data technologies
    • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
    • Ability to lead and mentor teams in a collaborative environment

    Preferred Qualifications
    • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field
    • Hands-on experience with data testing and data preparation tools
    • Experience with cloud-native data tools such as AWS Glue, Lambda, Athena, or similar
    • Experience with BI tools and data science platforms
    • Strong understanding of data management architectures and best practices
    • Experience working with large, heterogeneous datasets
    • Experience with DevOps practices including version control, CI/CD, and automated testing
    • Experience working in Agile environments
    • Financial services domain experience
    • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive outcomes
    • Strong ability to train and mentor junior team members
