  • Job Summary
    We are seeking a Senior Oracle Database Architect to lead the design, evaluation, and implementation of database technologies and best practices. This role focuses on maximizing performance, availability, and maintainability across database systems while guiding technical strategy and supporting enterprise data initiatives.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Evaluate, recommend, and document database solutions to ensure performance, scalability, and high availability
    • Define and maintain best practices and use case documentation for database technologies
    • Provide technical support and guidance to internal and external stakeholders
    • Collaborate with vendors and manage relationships related to database technologies and services
    • Assess emerging technologies and define roadmap strategies, including build vs. buy decisions
    • Mentor database administrators and technical teams to achieve business objectives
    • Support automation of database maintenance processes
    • Ensure effective backup, recovery, and high availability solutions are implemented
    • Troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues across environments
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support enterprise data initiatives

    Required Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience
    • Minimum 7 years of experience as a Database Administrator in a lead technical role
    • Experience working with at least three database technologies such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MariaDB, MySQL, Snowflake, or MongoDB
    • Experience developing automated processes for database maintenance in Windows Server or Unix environments
    • Strong knowledge of backup and recovery strategies and tools
    • Experience implementing high availability database solutions
    • Experience working with cloud-based database technologies
    • Familiarity with ETL/ELT processes and tools
    • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues
    • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

    Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience defining database architecture strategies and roadmaps
    • Strong mentoring and leadership experience
    • Ability to work independently and across multiple teams
    • Strong analytical thinking and ability to drive efficiency improvements
