  • Job Summary
    The Senior AI Java Developer will support enterprise modernization initiatives and AI-driven software development practices, combining hands-on Java engineering with Generative AI, cloud technologies, and large-scale distributed systems. The role will focus on developing and modernizing applications, implementing AI/ML solutions, leveraging Generative AI development tools, and supporting cloud-based distributed platforms.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Develop and maintain large-scale applications using Java, Spring Framework, cloud technologies, and web services.
    • Implement and deploy AI/ML solutions in production environments.
    • Use Generative AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot and Claude Code to support development, testing, code reviews, troubleshooting, automation, and documentation.
    • Apply agentic workflows, prompt engineering, spec-driven development, and large language model capabilities to software development initiatives.
    • Develop and support microservices and containerized applications.
    • Support CI/CD environments and cloud-based application deployments.
    • Contribute to application modernization and migrations from legacy platforms to distributed architectures.
    • Work with cloud platforms including AWS, GCP, or PCF.
    • Develop and support applications using database technologies such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and Aerospike.
    • Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to analyze requirements, solve technical challenges, and deliver scalable solutions.
    • Create and maintain architecture diagrams, design documentation, and technical specifications as needed.
    • Support software quality through testing, troubleshooting, automation, and quality engineering practices.

    Required Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
    • 7+ years of experience developing large-scale applications using Java, Spring Framework, cloud technologies, and web services.
    • 2+ years of hands-on experience implementing and deploying AI/ML solutions in production.
    • Experience using Generative AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot or Claude Code for development, testing, code reviews, troubleshooting, automation, and documentation.
    • Working knowledge of agentic workflows, prompt engineering, spec-driven development, and large language models such as GPT, Claude, and Gemini.
    • 6+ years of experience with microservices, containerized applications, CI/CD environments, and cloud-based deployments.
    • 2+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, or PCF.
    • Experience with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Aerospike, or similar database technologies.
    • Experience supporting application modernization and legacy-to-distributed platform migrations.
    • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

    Preferred Qualifications
    • Master’s degree in a related field.
    • Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other messaging technologies.
    • Experience in the financial services industry.
    • Background in Test-Driven Development (TDD), QA automation, and quality engineering.
    • Experience creating architecture diagrams, design documents, and technical specifications.
    • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence.
